Leave the motorway at the exit “LUCCA EST”,go straight on, you will see a white sign: “LUCCA” on your right side, pass in front of the MC DONALD’S (you will find it right after on the right side) and reset the odometer of your car to zero.
Stay on the right track of the street and go straight on until the traffic-light (500 mt), right after this traffic-light stay on the right track of the street and go ahead until you find a roundabout, by this roundabout go right in direction “PESCIA-PONTEDERA” (blue sign), go ahead, at 1,2 km you will find another traffic-light, go straight until you will see the train station on your right side (2,0km).
When you arrive at the station reset the odometer again to zero.
Turn right towards “ABETONE – CAMAIORE” and follow the walls circumference staying on the right track. At the km 2,3 at the traffic light turn right towards “CAMAIORE – ABETONE – CASTELNUOVO” (this is the “Via Civitali”). Stay on the right track. After around 500 m turn right again on the “Via del Brennero” or the S.S. 12 in direction of “Abetone.”
Follow this road. You will see on your right several petrol stations and garages: AGIP, Mercedes and Lancia. Before you enter the locality of Marlia (around 7 km from Lucca) turn right following the signs for “Villa Reale, Matraia, Pizzorne”. When you are at the Villa Reale (km 8,4) turn left towards “Villa Oliva” and “Villa Grabau”. When you arrive at the Villa Grabau turn right in direction of Matraia. You will see the "osteria" Vecchio Pazzo on your right (km 9,2). Go ahead in direction of Matraia until you see the bar Aldo on your left (km 9,9). There is a bifurcation there, go right in direction Matraia. At the bifurcation at km 11,8 go right on the “Via di Matraia”. Cross the village. At the km 14 you reach Valgiano. At the church turn left along the small street. After 300m turn right (sharp curve). The house is situated just some meters wider.
